Why MDN

All NetTerminal™ appliances come equipped with industry standard connectivity ports including multi-port print server, Ethernet and USB. In addition, a number of "optional" hardware connectivity devices are available to expand the NetTerminal's capabilities. ATLabs NetTerminal customizable design, allows you to configure your own thin client terminal with custom firmware and selected hardware.

With USB, PCMCIA, SmartCard, full-size PCI card slot and wireless support, your limited only by your imagination!

NOTE: Support for Connectivity options needs to be embedded into the firmware of your NetTerminal appliance at the factory. Simply let us know what connectivity devices you require and our team of engineers will evaluate your requirements and provide you with the best possible solution.Memory upgrades and embedded firmware support are optional customizations. Nominal NRE and or upgrade costs are not included in standard pricing.

Universal Serial Bus (USB)
The Universal Serial Bus (USB) combines all of the advantages of a multi-platform standard including decreased cost, increased compatibility, and a greater number of available peripherals. It's easy to use and powerful, and it works with numerous devices, including wireless transceivers, printers, digital cameras, keyboards, mice and storage devices.

USB

Smart Card
A smart card provides a preferred platform for accessing a wide range of privileges virtually anywhere. Add security, data mobility and authentication all on a computerized smart card. Users will be able to instantly verify identification and turn a generic device into a highly personalized one. It also can be a medical card which stores the medical history of a person. Furthermore, the smart card can be used as a credit/debit bank card which allows off-line transactions. All of these applications require sensitive data to be stored in the card, such as biometrics information of the card owner, personal medical history, and cryptographic keys for authentication, etc. Imagine what you could do with a smart card in your solution.

DOM
Disk On Module is a storage device based on flash memory technology, which emulates an ordinary magnetic hard disk. DOM is the perfect solution for computer applications where limited space and power consumption are requirements. With DOM custom applications, OS and scripts can be embedded quickly and easily into your NetTerminal.

DOM

PCMCIA
Expand the diversity of your NetTerminal with one of the many PCMCIA adapter cards available. Imagine what you could do with a PCMCIA card in you system.

PCMICIA

PCI Card
PCI Cards offer instant expansibility and flexibility for an easy and affordable way to add any number of peripheral devices to your NetTerminal.

Wireless Network Support
ATLabs supports wireless network computing with factory installed embedded drivers as an optional engineering service. Whether you choose USB or a PCI Card wireless device, ATLabs supports users who are either looking to add mobility to their existing network or create a new wireless network.

Perhaps the most obvious advantage of a wireless network comes from removing the need for extensive cabling and patching. Are you moving your enterprise to a new building? Do you need to set up a new office and add it to your existing network? Are you adding a new department in the same building or simply adding a few machines to your network? A wireless LAN makes all these tasks substantially easier.

Wireless Network

Wireless LAN Benefits
No wires and cables. Removes the hassle of installing and maintaining a cabled network. Office moves and re-organization will no longer cause problems.

Easy migration. It's easy to move to a wireless solution, for both your network management and your end users.

Faster deployment. There are no site licenses to obtain, cables to run or trenches to dig. (A full network could be fully deployed from one day to a maximum of a week depending on the amount of users.)

Scalability. It's even easier to add new users to the network, making your network robust enough to cope with future growth in your business.

Lower cost of ownership. Reduced cabling means reduced costs for cable installations and maintenance.

Increased productivity. Wireless technology reduces downtime by allowing access throughout the day, from various locations in your building.

Reduce Leased Line costs. Wireless solutions can be used to expand network cover to other buildings or remote locations where alternatives are costly.
