How
do I setup my NetTerminal for a basic network (a network without
routers)?
Note: The following steps assume that you have a UNIX server with
TCP/IP installed:
- Obtain
an IP address from your System Administrator for the NetTerminal
and your server.
- Press
<ALT+ t> and then <e> to activate
the Ethernet Interface dialog.
- If
the Ethernet port was previously disabled, you will be asked if
you want to enable it [Press <y> to enable].
- Enter
the NetTerminal IP address.
- Press
<tab> to select the Subnet Mask field. Type
in the subnet mask.
- Select
Save or press <Enter> to activate the Ethernet address
and close the Ethernet Interface address configuration dialog
box.
