Can I setup the printer as a local printer to do Print Screen and/or Transparent Printing?
Answer: Yes.

  1. From the NetTerminal System Administration screen press +d and select the port you want to configure the printer for. For example, press L to configure LPT1 (parallel) port.
  2. In the Usage box select Printer and press to save.
  3. A confirmation dialog box will appear asking "Do you want to configure print services for LPT1"
  4. If you want to configure your printer as a network printer also press y and configure the network services as defined above, otherwise press n.
  5. From the NetTerminal System Administration screen press +s p and the Local printing dialog box will appear.
  6. Press t and press the space bar to enable the "Enable transparent printing" option.
  7. Set the appropriate time-out in seconds before the buffer is flush if unable to print to a printer.
  8. Press I and press space bar to enable the "Enable printing" option.
  9. Set the appropriate time-out in seconds before the buffer is flush if unable to print to a printer.
  10. Press to save the setting.
  11. To test, make sure the printer is turned on-line and cable is connected. Press the key and the NetTerminal should print the currently displayed screen.
  12. If entire screen is not printed, you might have to change the time-out to a higher number to accommodate the printer speed / buffer capacity.
