Can
I setup the printer as a local printer to do Print Screen and/or
Transparent Printing?
Answer:
Yes.
- From
the NetTerminal System Administration screen press +d and
select the port you want to configure the printer for. For example,
press L to configure LPT1 (parallel) port.
- In
the Usage box select Printer and press to save.
- A
confirmation dialog box will appear asking "Do you want to configure
print services for LPT1"
- If
you want to configure your printer as a network printer also press
y and configure the network services as defined above, otherwise
press n.
- From
the NetTerminal System Administration screen press +s p and
the Local printing dialog box will appear.
- Press
t and press the space bar to enable the "Enable transparent printing"
option.
- Set
the appropriate time-out in seconds before the buffer is flush
if unable to print to a printer.
- Press
I and press space bar to enable the "Enable printing"
option.
- Set
the appropriate time-out in seconds before the buffer is flush
if unable to print to a printer.
- Press
to save the setting.
- To
test, make sure the printer is turned on-line and cable is connected.
Press the key and the NetTerminal should print
the currently displayed screen.
- If
entire screen is not printed, you might have to change the time-out
to a higher number to accommodate the printer speed / buffer capacity.
