How
do I reprogram Function, Delete or Cursor keys?
- Press
+d 1 to activate the COM1 configuration dialog or +d
2 to activate the COM2 configuration dialog.
- Using
the arrow keys in the Usage box select Terminal server.
- Configure
the baud rate and other required parameters.
- Press
to save all the settings for the com port.
- If
you are selecting Terminal server for the first time you will
be prompted to go to the terminal server configuration menu. Enter
Y to continue. You can also go to Terminal server menu form TCP/IP
menu (+t m).
- The
Terminal Server Configuration menu has the following fields:
- Host
- Name/IP
address of the host you want the port to connect to.
- Terminal
- Type:
ansi, vtxxx or at386, etc.
Server port : The telnet server port
number. (Should always be set to 23 unless you have special
requirements).
- Session
escape character (decimal)
This character when followed by a period
terminates the current session. By default ~ (126) is the
escape character followed by the period.

] Process the Terminal sessions queries
This option is only valid if you are
connected to the SCO running NetTerminal Host software. By
selecting this option the dumb terminals connected to com1
and com2 becomes the 13th and 14th login devices respectively.
- Terminal
on com1 = /dev/ntx13 and com2 = /dev/ntx14
- [
] Disconnect upon loss of DTR/DSR or DCD
If this option is selected whenever the
Dumb terminal is turned off, the login session is disconnected.
(Provided the serial cable is using these signals).
